Ann E. Bumpus

Senior Lecturer in Philosophy

My primary teaching and research interests are in philosophical issues raised by emerging technologies. Some examples include whether it is ethical to enhance people—pharmaceutically, genetically, or otherwise; whether the ongoing commercialization of reproduction, such as outsourcing pregnancy, is morally problematic; and ethical issues raised by brain sciences.
